PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a seek at a high speed and with high precision by a method wherein time series data of actuator control values at the time of seek operation are stored corresponding to a seek length, and when a new seek demand generates, the time series data stored of the seek length are output as a feedforward control value. SOLUTION: An adding means 30 adds a feedforward control value 20a which is corrected in a seek direction to a feedback control value 14a, to output an actuator control value 30a. A feedforward compensating means 20 stores the actuator control value 30a in a memory means 23 at each control interval of a VCM actuator 5 during a period between a seek start and a seek end. By performing this feedforward compensation, it is possible to realize high-speed accurate positioning by one track seek at a second time on and close the actuator control value 30a to an optimum value.
