PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data transmission by infrared rays without providing the enclosure of equipment with a dedicated projection window/photodetection window and an infrared-ray emitting/receiving element. SOLUTION: An infrared-ray receiving element 19 is arranged on a circuit board 18 inside the liquid crystal panel of a liquid crystal display 11, and infrared-ray data are light-received (reception) through the liquid crystal panel, electrically converted, and sent out to an infrared communication part. Further, a light emitting diodes 15c and an infrared-ray emitting element 15b which blink to give a notice of an incoming call are arranged inside the light emission transmission member 15a of an illumination display part 15 and infrared-ray data are emitted (transmitted) from the infrared-ray emitting element 15b through the light emission transmission member 15a.
