PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover opening/closing device for image forming device which eliminates the need for an interlock switch for a paper-ejection-part cover even in the case where a cover for covering an image forming part and a paper ejection part is an opening/closing cover of a separable independent type. SOLUTION: This device is configured so that when an image-forming-part cover 7 whose lower end is pivotally supported is closed, its upper end part overlaps and covers a handle part 8a, which is the lower-end stair part of the paper-ejection-part cover 8, and the paper-ejection-part cover 8 cannot be opened before the image-forming-part cover 7 is opened. This reduces the sizes of the image-forming-part cover 7 and paper-ejection-part cover 8 and, therefore, facilitates the operation of opening/closing them. Further, the paper-ejection-part cover 8 cannot be opened unless the image-forming-part cover 7 is opened first, and the image-forming-part cover 7 cannot be closed unless the paper-ejection- part cover 8 is closed first. Therefore the need for an interlock switch for the paper-ejection-part cover 8 is eliminated. |
