PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a high quality intermediate image even from an image with a remarkably different shape by using fractal. SOLUTION: Initial image data and target image data which are represented by a repeated function system are inputted (S401 and S402), displacement between respectively corresponding parameters in repeated functions for the initial image data and the target image data is calculated by using an optional function, the calculated displacement is added to a corresponding parameter of the repeated function for the initial image data, and intermediate image data of the initial image data and the target image data are generated by using the parameter to which the displacement is applied (S403 to S407).
