PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively improve the sharpness of a picture to be received by a cathode ray tube. SOLUTION: This circuit is provided with a first enhancing circuit 12 enhancing a frequency band including the components of a high band, where the intensity components of a video signal is highest, as a center frequency, and a second enhancing circuit 13 enhancing the intensity components of the video signal by a center frequency lower than that of the circuit 12. Then, it is desirable that a gain for enhancement is fixed in the circuit 12 but it is variable in the circuit 13.
