PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a gas sensor that can efficiently form a plurality of clamping parts including a filter-clamping part and can prevent the deviation and scattering of the formation dimensions and positions of the clamping part. SOLUTION: A multiple punch clamping device 104 is in structure where a plurality of sets of a group of clamping punches 89 consisting of a plurality of clamping punches 85 that are arranged so that they can approach or can be separated toward an outer cylinder member 54 in a form for surrounding an outer cylinder member 54 in a peripheral direction are arranged corresponding to a clamping part to be formed in the direction of the axial line of the outer cylinder member 54. Then, at least two clamping parts including at least a filter clamping part out of the filter clamping part, a main clamping part, and a grommet clamping part are collectively formed by the multiple punch clamping device 104. |
