PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system which can provide broadcasting communication service in a limited area at arbitrary time at an autonomous request from an unspecified mobile station. SOLUTION: This mobile communication system allows the mobile station 40 to send a broadcasting communication request to an exchange 50 through a base station 10 in a communication service area S under control by itself and the exchange 50 instructs the mobile station 40 to switch the broadcasting channel to a base station 20 for broadcasting communication by a channel switching indicating means at the broadcasting communication request. The base station 20 for broadcasting communication which installs a broadcasting communication area 21 for the broadcasting communication in a specific communication service area S by the base station 10 supports the broadcasting communication with the mobiles station 40 and controls only a down broadcasting channel for the mobile station 40. The mobile station 40 after acquiring the down broadcasting channel performs only reception which does not require a link of an up channel and receives broadcasted data from a data base 60 for the broadcasting communication base station.
