<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch the current medium to an optimum medium in communications by retrieving information related to a communication party from history information and estimating the optimum medium from the information. SOLUTION: A communication means 1a transmits/receives information to/from a communication party. A history information storing means 1b stores history information related to the communication party. When a communication request is generated, an optimum medium estimating means 1c retrieves information related to the communication party from the history information and estimates an optimum medium from the information. When the estimated optimum medium is different from a medium being used at present, a medium switching means 1d switches the current medium to the optimum medium if necessary. When the estimated optimum medium is different from the medium being used at present, an informing means 1e informs a user of the state. An information input means 1f receives the input of prescribed information from the user. A user state detection means 1g detects a user's state. An importance judging means 1h judges the importance of communication when the communication is requested and informs the means 1c of the judged result.</p> |
