<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an item from being double booked, when a plurality of items are registered to an address directory in cross reference with one destina tion by inhibiting double-booking of an item to the terminal that has the address directory, where a plurality of items are stored with respect to one data. SOLUTION: When the name of a display item indicated as 'beeper' is selected on an item revision mode menu of the terminal, indication of an item name display area 225e of a personal data entry menu is changed into an indication of a 'beeper'. Indication of an item name display area 225d which was originally displayed as the 'beeper' is changed into indication of 'home fax' on a data edit menu in this case. When editing on the data edit menu is completed, an indication area 220 has only to be touched by a pen. A CPU restores processing to an address retrieval mode, based on this pen touch and corrects each of item data in a personal address directory based on the data displayed on the data edit menu.</p> |
