PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease an arithmetic quantity needed to establish frame timing synchronism. SOLUTION: A received frame of the outgoing line of a W(wide-band)-CDMA (code-division multiple access) system is composed of a long-code mask symbol after spread modulation by BPSK and a part modulated by QPSK(quadratic phase shift keying). A process for finding an integration result by squaring and integrating complex received samples of one symbol is performed while symbols are shifted one by one, the integration result having the maximum value is searched for among integration results, and reverse spreading is carried out at the start point of a reverse spreading start point range as a constant range having its center at the integration start point of the integration result having the maximum value to detect the position of the long-code mask symbol, thereby establishing the frame synchronism. |
