TOTALIZATION DATA GENERATING METHOD OF CAD SOFTWARE AND STORAGE MEDIUM WHERE TOTALIZATION DATA GENERATING PROGRAM IS RECORDED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a totalization data generating method of CAD software that can generate totalization data which can be processed by spread sheet software from design data generated by the CAD software and the storage medium where the totalization data generating program is recorded. SOLUTION: Design data to be totalized are specified and read out of design data which are transformed into a DXF format as a specific file format (S20, S22). Totalization data composed of member names and the number of the members having the member names are generated (S24) by extracting the member names as character strings meeting specific conditions from the read design data and totalizing the number of the extracted member names. The totalization data are transformed into the file format of specific spread sheet software (S267) and passed to the spread sheet software (S28). After all the design data are transformed (S30), the totalization data are totalized longitudinally and laterally and sorted (S34, S36) and the totalization results are outputted in an arbitrary format (S36).
