PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption and to prevent the taste of a commodity from being changed when an automatic vending machine is installed in an area in which the sale of the commodities is not good. SOLUTION: An automatic vending machine provided with a commodity storage area 2 storing commodity is provided with a dividing part 3 which is installed to vertically divide the inner part of the commodity storage area 2 and has heat insulating property. An upper side divided by the dividing part 3 in the commodity storage area 2 is set to be a commodity preservation area 4 and a lower side to be a commodity sales standby area 5. The inner part of the commodity sales standby area 5 is cooled or heated. The commodities in the commodity preservation area 4 are preserved at a chamber temperature with such constitution.
