PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to insert the other CD-ROM medium without stopping and taking out a CD-ROM medium while the CD-ROM medium is being read, thereby making the operability of a CD-ROM drive convenient. SOLUTION: When the other CD-ROM medium is attached to a CD stock 6 from a CD-ROM suction port 2, the read-in of the CD-ROM medium, which is being read with a CD reproducing device 8, is stopped temporarily, and this CD-ROM medium is discharged from a CD-ROM discharge port 3. On the other hand, the inserted other CD-ROM medium moves as far as the reproducing device 8, while held with a stopper pawl part 13 of a CD-ROM stacker 11, and is loaded on the reproducing device 8. Once the other CD-ROM medium is loaded on the reproducing device 8, the CD-ROM stacker 11 moves as far as the upper part of the CD stock 6. Consequently, before the CD-ROM medium, while being read, is stopped temporarily and is taken out, the other CD-ROM medium is mounted into the CD-ROM drive.
