PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate that the thinning of an optical head device is hindered by the constitution for making so as capable of pivotally supporting an objective lens driving mechanism against an optical housing, and also to improve the workability. SOLUTION: The space 31 is provided in the optical housing 18 for arranging the objective lens driving mechanism 1 inside it. Engaging parts 32a are provided on the side faces of a frame 11 constituting the outer frame of objective lens driving mechanism 1, and also parts 33a, 33b which the engaging parts 32a, 32b are engaged with are provided in the optical housing 18 so that the objective lens driving mechanism 1 is pivotally supported turnably in the tangential direction against the optical housing 18. The flexibility is imparted to the parts forming the engaging parts 32a, 32b on the side faces of the frame 11, and by flexing these formed parts, the engaging parts 32a, 32b are engaged with the parts 33a, 33b so that the objective lens driving mechanism 1 is disposed in the optical housing 18.
