PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover a data fault in short time. SOLUTION: A video server 10 is provided with physically plural storage devices A to C in which pieces of data constituting a video file are distributively stored, a chain information storage part 2 in which storage connection of pieces of the data constituting the file are stored by enumeration of identifiers of the plural storage devices and addresses in the storage devices and a CPU 1 to read the data from the plural storage devices in the order of the storage connection of the data stored in the chain information storage part. When the data of the optional storage device are crashed, the data which are stored in the storage device to be damaged are specified based on information on the chain information storage part 2, thus the specified data are requested to an external device and the specified data which are transferred from the external device are updated to the storage device where crash occurs by the CPU 1. |
