<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to execute the temperature compensation of a liquid crystal display device with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The display area A of the liquid crystal display panel 10 is provided with a dummy scanning line Yj+1 and a monitor line ML on the outside of the area. A liquid crystal drive voltage regulating circuit 140 is connected to the monitor line ML and detects the voltage of a liquid crystal layer. The detected voltage is integrated for a prescribed period. When the average voltage is calculated as a result thereof, the voltage is compared with reference voltage and an error signal is formed. A charge voltage control signal CTLc for controlling charge voltage VOC is formed in accordance with the error signal. A discharge voltage control signal CTLd for controlling discharge voltage VOD is formed. The voltage is fed back to a power source circuit 130. The power source circuit 130 regulates the level of the charge voltage VOC and the discharge voltage VOD and supplies the same to a scanning signal drive circuit 100.</p> |
