LIGHT DIFFUSION ELEMENT AND HIGH MOUNT STOP LAMP FOR VEHICLE USING THE ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a high mount stop lamp for vehicles by providing an element capable of causing the light emission of a large area with incident light from a small light source and using this element in a display section. SOLUTION: The light diffusion element 1 which diffuses and radiates the incident light 3 has a total reflection surface 11 and partially reflection and balance transmissible surface 21 which face each other apart a spacing acting as a light diffusion passage 30 and a light introducing part 40 which is disposed in at least either of the total reflection surface 11 and the partially reflection and balance transmissible surface 21 and introduces the incident light 3 to the light diffusion passage 30 in a direction diagonal with the total reflection surface 11 and the partially reflection and balance transmissible surface 21.
