PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform print monitoring by effectively utilizing the monitor of a device and to miniaturize a printer, such as a portable printer by eliminating the need for a trimming function on a printer side. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an interface means 4 for transmitting and receiving information with external equipment, a trimming means for specifying the video image of a prescribed range from the video images displayed on a monitor part 6 and a video mode selection means for selecting a prescribed video form from the plural video forms determined beforehand, including the video image specified in the trimming means. Then, video information selected in the video mode selection means is outputted through the interface means 4 to the external equipment.
