PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve data transmission efficiency in accordance with data to be processed by compressing input data, obtaining a comparison rate, judging the propriety of compression efficiency, switching a data compression mode and a transparent mode in accordance with the judged result and constituting a compression means with hardware. SOLUTION: When an operator starts an input device 1 and inputs the character string of a transmission object, the input device l inputs the inputted character string to the DTE side input/output part 201 of a data processor 2. When an initialization instruction is received, the DTE side input/output part 201 transfers control to an initialization part 202 and the initialization part 202 initializes the data processor 2 and a dictionary controller 3. When the DTE side input/output part 201 receives a FLUSH instruction, it transfers control to a FLUSH processing part 203 and executes a FLUSH processing. When the DTE side input/out put part 201 receives a data transfer instruction, it transfers data inputted from the input device 1 to an ESC processing part 204 and checks whether data is similar to an escape character or not. |
