PROTECTIVE COVER LOCKING MECHANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a function which protects a feeding terminal from an impact which is applied to it when a detachable unit is attached and an external force which is applied in a state that the detachable unit is not attached while no noticeable modification is applied to existing component composition and, further, improve the reliability of a product by the secure protection of the feeding terminal and suppress the cost increase. SOLUTION: The function of a protective cover locking mechanism is such that a protective cover 107 is locked when a detachable operation panel is detached from the front side of an electronic apparatus and opened at a position where it protects a feeding terminal 106 so as to prevent a force applied in a dorection perpendicular to the front side of the electronic apparatus from pushing back the protective cover 107 toward the front side of the electronic apparatus and released from locking when a force in the direction of the attachment of the detachable operation panel is applied.
