PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a tracking error offset by controlling a delay quantity control circuit so that absolute values of offset quantities of first and second offset detecting means become equal and offset directions of the offset values become opposite and adding output signals of first and second phase comparators in the tracking control at the time of reproduction. SOLUTION: When it is assumed that a signal phase difference (P1) in a phase comparator 26 is found and a corresponding delay time setting value (T1) is obtained, a corresponding delay time setting value is set to (-T1) so that a signal phase difference in a phase comparator 27 becomes (-P1), When the DC offset component of a tracking error signal to be outputted by a tracking error detecting means 11 is (V1), the absolute value of the DC component of the tracking error signal to be outputted by a detecting means 26 becomes equal to that of the DC offset component of the tracking error signal of the detecting means 11 and the polarity of it become an opposite polarity (-V1). Then, outputs of the detecting means 11, 26 are added in order to perform the tracking control at the time of reproduction.
