PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the large capacity flexible disk which can be prevented from being erroneously inserted into a drive dedicated to normal-capacity flex ible disks of such a type that a wide insertion slot is provided. SOLUTION: The large capacity flexible disk 10 has a wide part 14 provided to its case 12 up to a nearly halfway position on the flank in the insertion direction, so even if a user tries to insert the flexible disk 10 into the insertion slot 3a, a disk holder in the drive exclusively for normal-capacity flexible disks functions as a stopper, so that the disk can not be inserted up to a chucking position even if inserted.
