PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oscillatory liquid detector of such a type as an oscillator and a liquid detector are coupled through an oscillation transmitting shaft in which reliability of liquid detection accuracy is enhanced by effectively preventing fluctuation in the magnetic oscillation performance or piezoelectric oscillation performance of an oscillator due to heat conducted through high temperature measuring liquid into which the liquid detector is immersed and preserving the oscillation performance of an oscillatory sensor effectively. SOLUTION: In a liquid detector comprising an oscillator 1 and a liquid detector 3 coupled through an oscillation transmitting shaft 2 and an oscillation is transmitted from the oscillator 1 to the liquid detector 3 through the oscillation transmitting shaft 2, a cooling chamber 4 surrounding one or both of the oscillator 1 and the oscillation transmitting shaft 2 is provided and the body defining the cooling chamber 4 is provided with a cooling gas inlet 19 and a gas outlet 20.
