PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-developable photosensitive material containing a heat-decolorable dye which exhibits irreversible heat decolorability by incorporating a specified merocyanine dye and a base precursor into at least one nonphotosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This heat-developable photosensitive material has a substrate, a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide and a reducing agent and at least one nonphotosensitive layer containing a merocyanine dye represented by the formula and a base precursor. In the formula, R1 is H, an aliphatic group, an aromatic group, -NR21R26, -OR21 or -SR21, R21 and R26 are each H, an aliphatic group or the like or form a nitrogen-containing heterocycle by bonding to each other, R2 is H, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group, L1 and L2 are each an optionally substituted methine, Z1 is an atomic group forming a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocycle, Z2 is an atomic group forming a 5- or 6-membered ring and (n) is 1-4. |
