PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phase detector showing one absolute voltage with respect to each phase difference between±180 deg. by nearly equalizing the amplitude of a second amplitude-adjusted distribution signal to the amplitude of a second input signal. SOLUTION: A splitter generates signals S32-1, S32-2 to respectively guide to a phase adjuster 34 and an attenuator 36. The signal S32-1, Sb are phase- shifted by phase adjusters 34 and 38 to generate output signals S34, S38. For example, the adjusters 34 and 38 are used for setting the absolute voltage of 0 volt for showing a phase difference 0 deg. between signal Sa and Sb. The amplitude of the signal S32-2 is adjusted by the attenuator 36 to generate a signal S36. The signal S32-2 is attenuated so that the signal S36 may be provided with nearly the same amplitude with the signal Sb. The signals S36, S38 are given to an adder 40 as inputs to generate a signal S40 as a result. The signal S40 is provided with nearly the same phase as the average phase of the signals S36, S38.
