PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method capable of producing uniform silver halide nuclei and growing them by installing a a static mixing device provided with a means for introducing an aqueous silver salt solution and a means for introducing an aqueous halide solution and a reactor vessel provided with a stirrer, a means for introducing plural solutions containing the aqueous silver salt solution and the aqueous halide solution and a means for concentrating the solutions in the reactor vessel. SOLUTION: The static mixing device 4 has at least a line 1 for introducing the aqueous solution of silver salt, preferably, silver nitrate, and a line 2 for introducing the aqueous solution of a halide, preferably, alkali metal bromide, iodide, chloride or ammonium halide or a mixture of them. The introducing lines 1 and 2 can be provided with feeding means 5 for intorducing the aqueous solution of silver salt and the aqueous solution of halide to the static mixing device 4. a solution discharging line 3 may be connected directly to the reactor vessel.
