<p>A process for the recycling of waste powder comprises (a) extruding the feedstock, comprising waste powder and opt. other feedstock components, into a homogeneous extrudate; and (b) transforming the extrudate into a first grade powder coating compsn. Prior to the above process a layer of waste powder is heated, at least up to coalescence of the powder but below decomposition or crosslinking of any part of the compsn. Also claimed is the appts. used in the above process comprising means for forming waste powder layer, opt. for transporting it, for heating it, for recovering the material, for transforming it into granules, for transporting the granules and for producing first grade powder.</p> |
