A process for the production of substituted aromatic or heterocyclic compounds by means of a solid phase having secondary amine fuctionality is claimed. A process for the production of substituted aromatic or heterocyclic compounds by means of a solid phase having secondary amine fuctionality comprises: (A) coupling of the solid phase having secondary amine functionality with a substituted aryl diazonium salt or a substituted heterocyclic diazonium salt; (B) reaction at the synthesized solid phase having triazine group bound aryl or heterocyclic groups with retention of the triazine functionality; and (C) cleavage of the resulting substituted aryl or heterocycle by exchange of the triazine group with a substituent, X consisting of hydrogen, deuterium or tritium in the presence of electrophilic compounds and reducing agents or radical sources.
