The dryer for a printing ink carrier (2) printed by a screen printing process has a dryer hood (3) possessing blower nozzles (4) through which hot air is blown and positioned on the printed side of the printing ink carrier. The flow of blown air through the nozzles is reduced before the drying process of the individual printing ink carriers is ended.
