The present invention pertains to the field of convenience goods and can be used, for example, in the production of devices for applying substances, mainly colouring and bleaching agents, on the surface of different materials. The purpose of this invention is to improve the consumption characteristics of the method and the devices in order to increase the mechanical resistance of said devices as well as their yield and the substance application regularity on the surface to be treated while increasing the application efficiency. During the process for preparing the substance to be applied, said substance is placed in a containing volume communicating with the substance application device in order to carry out a dosed extraction from said volume of the substances to be applied. In one embodiment, the device is provided with an additional containing volume for the substance to be applied as well as with mechanisms for dosing the extraction from said volume of the substance to be applied and for supplying the same towards the application area on the surface to be treated. In a second embodiment, this device is characterised by the mutual and optimal distribution of the geometrical centres of the envelope and of the applicator. These devices generate reduced costs when applying substances on materials and exhibit excellent ecological and ergonomics properties as well as excellent other consumption qualities.
