The arrangement consists of numerous platelets (1) of polygonal shape in flat interconnection by strips (2). For the formation of differently sized illumination units one, more, or groups of platelets are separated from the arrangement by respective strips. Preferably each platelet is in the shape of a hexagon with at least one LED and associated energizing electronic system for switch-on and off.
