The laser arrangement has two laser resonators with a common laser medium (18) and a polarization controller (12) for changing over between the oscillating optical axes of the two laser resonators. A laser arrangement with multi-stage amplification has a laser as above and a laser beam amplification stage for amplifying a laser beam from the laser. Independent claims are also included for a laser arrangement with multistage amplification for laser machining and for a laser machining arrangement.
