A polyurethane coating composition contains at least 3 wt.% of a UV absorber. A polyurethane coating composition (I) contains: (A) a polyester resin having an OH number of 80-200 mgKOH/g and an acid number of less than 10 mg KOH/g, (B) a polyacrylate resin having an OH number of 80-200 mg KOH/g and an acid number of less than 20 mgKOH/g, (C) a di- and/or polyisocyanate having free or blocked isocyanate groups, (D) at least 3 wt.% of a UV absorber, (E) a UV agent based on an aminoether functionalized sterically hindered amine, and (F) an organic solvent. An Independent claim is included for a process for the production of (I) by mixing or dispersing the ingredients.
