A transfer device which comprises a transfer device body containing a transfer tape coated on its surface with a transfer agent, and a transfer head disposed at the front end of the transfer device body for transferring the transfer agent from the transfer tape to a material while stripping it from the transfer tape, the front end of the transfer head serving as a transfer section adapted to be abutted against the back of the transfer tape and pressed from above, the transfer tape paid out from the inside of the transfer device body being turned back by the transfer section. The transfer head is formed of rectangular metal wire.
