The piston is connected to the cylinder block (1) by means of levers (14) and a rod (16) which oscillates in the crankcase round an axis (G) normal to the secant longitudinal plane passing through the cylinder (2) axis. The piston (5) clamp (V) allows the piston to be connected movably via lever (13) to the lever (14) as built up along with the connecting rod head on the crankpin. In this way, this lever (14) is joined to the rod (16) via the lever pair (15). The axial intercepts of gudgeon pin and crankpin and the lever (14) hinge are joined to this secant plane by straight lines thus converting the piston dead center position from rectangle to parallelogram with the piston rod rotating. Lever (15) also rotates where it connects to the rod (16) and lever (14) round the hinge axes and can thus rotate round the axis normal to the mutually parallel hinge axes. Levers (14) come in the form of disk and clamps made up of interconnected parts and arranged on the crankpin (9) in addition to the connecting rod head so as to rotate round the crankpin axis (H).
