The subject invention involves compounds having structure (1) wherein the C.alpha.-N.beta. and C5-C6 bonds are independently single or double bond s, R1 is selected from alkyl, aryl, and heterocycle; R2 - R13 are independently selected from hydrogen and other substituents; and pharmaceutically-acceptab le salts thereof. The ubject invention also involves pharmaceutical composition s containing such compounds, and methods for treating or preventing diseases a nd disorders using such compounds.
