The nozzle has a valve body (7) and a nozzle needle (6) with seat (11) and closure head (13). An adjusting element (9) acts directly with the nozzle needle, to define a precise gap between needle seat and closure head. The contact face between closure head and seat is truncated cone-shaped. The max. distance of movement of the adjusting element is defined by a stop, which in turn is adjusted by an electronic distance generator (1). The element is moved into open and closed position by fuel pressure.
