The solid-state image detector (6) has a raster (5) which is moved into the image beam path infront of the image reception plane from a stowed position outside the image beam path. The image detector housing (1) has a holder for holding the raster in the stowed position, on the opposite side of the imaging cassette to the X-ray source, the movement of the raster between the alternate positions facilitated by a folding bellows, or by C-shaped guide rails (9).
