摘要 The purpose of the present invention is to increase the desalination intensity of water that contains non-dissolved silicon, amongst others. This technique may be used for removing suspensions and colloidal substances, including those containing non-dissolved silicon compounds. This technique involves processing the water using a solution of ferrous oxide and oxidising it in order to obtain a 20,000-fold solubility reduction as well as a precipitate of dispersion and colloidal particles, including silicon compounds, and in order to coagulate the same and accelerate the deposition process. Purification is then carried out according to conventional methods. The dispersion and colloidal particles of silicon compounds which were not precipitated are further dissolved in an alkaline medium having a pH>/=7.0 and/or using alkali and/or using soda. The temperature is also increased in order to accelerate the dissolution rate of the silicon compounds which are further removed according to conventional methods.
