A gauging, or measuring, head (T) includes a support structure with a casing (1), a movable arm-set with an arm (3), movable with respect to the casing, and carrying a feeler (5), a fulcrum (7), an inductive position transducer (9) and a retraction system of the pneumatic type including a bellows (19) with a stationary end (22) coupled to the casing and a free, closed end (32) for housing a first magnet (25). The stationary end of the bellows is coupled to a source of compressed air (31) by means of a coupling element (29) that houses at its interior a second magnet (33), arranged so that the facing surfaces of the magnets (25, 33) have opposite polarity. When the retraction system is de-energized, the attraction force between the two magnets enables to keep the bellows in a contracted configuration.
