Vacuum tool has housing with transverse suction slot opening into brush chamber (10) and brush roller driven by air turbine (15) in turbine chamber (17). Cushion nozzle is pivotably mounted protruding into region between the brush and turbine chambers. An adjustable air deflector (40) in a flow window (19) between the chambers forms a speed adjuster for the turbine, and its position is determined by rotary position of the connector.
