Detergent tablets consisting of compressed particulate ingredients contain anhydrous effervescent granules. An Independent claim is also included for the production of detergent tablets by: (a) preparing effervescent granules by anhydrous granulation; (b) mixing the granules with other detergent ingredients; and (c) compressing the mixture.
