Fluid currents, particularly at high temperatures and circuit speeds, can be cut off and regulated by the flap which consists of two separate sealing systems. The flap housing (1) is divided crossways to the flow direction by a hollow rib (5), thus forming two flow apertures with the same flow cross-section. A shaft is rotatably located in the hollow rib and the flap housing. On the shaft, using openings in the hollow rib, for each flow aperture a flap is arranged so that with a rotation of the shaft through 90 degrees each flow aperture is opened or closed.
