A method and a device for making automatically and inexpensively a product quite similar in taste and appearance to a genuine crab leg meat, the device comprising a sheet cutter (4) consisting of many parallel-arranged rotary cutters and a sectionally H-shaped convergent roll (9) both disposed below a means (1) for charging a heated mince fish sheet, a conveyor (12) disposed below the convergent roll (9) and adapted to carry a folded sheet (10) formed by the roll (9), a feed means (14) disposed in front of the conveyor (12) and adapted to feed the folded sheet (10) intermittently or continuously, a slitting machine (17) disposed below the feed means (14) and adapted to cut in the folded sheet (10) slits extending symmetrically on the both sides of the sheet and inclined with respect to a lengthwise direction of the sheet and a separation cutter (34) disposed above the end of a conveyor (31) carrying the slit folded sheet and adapted to cut the folded sheet into a specified length. |
