Preparation of neodymium halogen compound suitable to continuous 1, 3-butadiene polymerization

Provided with a preparation of neodymium halogen compound suitable to continuous 1,3-butadiene polymerization in the state of colloid having particle size of below 200 nm to prevent formation of precipitation. The preparation includes the steps of dispersing the solution of NdX3.Y (where Y is an electron donor; and X is F, Cl, Br or I) in a non-polar (or inert) medium and removing the polar reside by azeotropic distillation so as to enhance catalytic activity as a part of Ziegler-Natta catalyst for 1,3-butadiene polymerization.
