Process and device for incorporating flavourings to food products

System for preparing food especially potato and vegetables such as corn, rice and soya into chips or chip-like food for subsequent cooking and human consumption is claimed. The untreated food is processed both externally and internally changing its external appearance and inner consistency. Flavouring is incorporated as required either by adhesion, cohesion, or inter-connection. The resulting chip-like food is safe for transport and fit for human consumption. A suitable assembly to process the raw food has a reservoir through which the flavouring is introduced and discharged through parallel needle probes inserted into e.g. the potato. The potato is then cut to shape by chip-shaped cutting blades in a subsequent process.
