<p>The system uses four print heads, and a monitoring device reading printed colour to determine corrections required. The laser printer includes a number of printing assemblies in line (1-4) for printing a series of monochrome images, which together reconstitute a polychromatic image. A processor is provided to control the printing on a common print support (10). Test cards may be printed corresponding to various pairs of printing assemblies (1-4). A control parameter is provided to adjust the printing assemblies, in order to control the circuit associated with the test cards. An optical system (5) may be provided for reading the test cards which have been printed, and feeding information back in order to enable adjustment of the calibration of the various monochrome images in order to achieve the required colour balance.</p> |
