PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight impact beam while improving its strength. SOLUTION: This impact beam 1 comprises an approximately cylindrical pipe part 2 formed by winding both ends in the width direction of a metallic plate and bonding the both ends, and the extension parts 3 for fixing formed on the axial both ends of the pipe parts 2. On this occasion, the pipe part 2 comprises the bent parts 5 bent into the pipe at the bonding part of the both ends in the width direction of the metallic plate 11, and an impact absorber is held between the bent parts 5 to be mounted in the diameter direction in a state that the cross section of the pipe part 2 is divided into two by this impact absorber.
