In order to serve, to each of a number of client terminals, programs and data most suitable for performance of each respective terminal, a server station of a multimedia communication system of the invention sends a check program before delivering data called from a client terminal. The terminal performs certain calculations and graphic display according to the check program, and reports times needed for the check program to the server station. The server station selects programs and data most suitable for the terminal, enabling the terminal to provide maximum performance. |
