PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve contact stability and a wide temperature region actuating force property of an electrical contact without generation of stress cracking thereof by controlling a grease composition using a base oil containing a synthetic hydrocarbon oil and a thickener containing a urea compound. SOLUTION: A grease composition comprises a base oil containing a synthetic hydrocarbon oil and a thickener containing a urea compound. The synthetic hydrocarbon oil used as the base oil is such that its molecular structure is constituted with carbon atoms and hydrogen atoms, and e.g. poly-α-olefin, polybutene, and a copolymer of anα-olefin with ethylene are cited. The base oil preferably has a kinematic viscosity at 40 deg.C of 5-70 mm2/s. The synthetic oil content in the base oil is preferably at least 50 wt.%. The urea compound used as the thickener is obtained e.g. by a reaction of a diisocyanate with a monoamine. The urea compound content in the grease composition is preferably about 1.0-20 wt.%. |
